Summer Sizzle

The 2024 WWTA Summer Sizzle tournament will held at Cary Tennis Park July 12th – 14th.  Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles and both Women’s/Men’s Singles. Participants can only sign up for one event only due to the possibility of sizzling temperatures.

Registration opens May 6th and closes July 7th.

For all WWTA tournaments, we are going green and no bottled water will be provided. Please bring water to the tournament and there will be water available to refill your containers.

NEW FOR 2024 – Selection Criteria:

First Come First Served

• In the event more players or teams register for an event that exceeds the divisions entry limit, selections for this tournament will be made on a first come first served basis (off of registration date and time)
• If the number of players in the draw you are registering for looks higher than the entry limit, there can be an opportunity to be accepted into the tournament so we suggest that you still register for the tournament.   Teams and/or players may withdraw and sometimes tournaments are able to increase draw sizes.  This can only be determined after registration closes and we can see how the overall tournament fills before determining if there will be space to take more players. Your credit card is not charged until selections are made.
• For doubles, the registration date that would be filtered would be based off of when the first partner registers
  • If a player has a partner who does not sign up by the registration deadline and the event exceeds the entry limit, they will be placed behind all the teams who both players signed up by the registration deadline.

Draw Sizes (based on how draws fill, draw sizes might be increased)

Singles:

• 2.5M/W, 4.5M/W, 5.0M/W – 8 players
• 3.0M/W, 3.5M/W, 4.0M/W – 16 players

Doubles:

• 2.5M, 4.5M/W, 5.0M/W – 8 doubles teams (16 players)
• 2.5W, 3.0M/W, 3.5M/W, 4.0M/W  – 16 doubles teams (32 players)
