Charity Classic

The annual WWTA Charity Tennis Classic is held in conjunction with the Cary Tennis Classic, an ATP  & WTA Pro Challenger 100 Circuit event. Funds from the event are donated to Transitions LifeCare (formerly Hospice of Wake County) and used for WWTA scholarships. WWTA has raised over $350,000 for Transitions LifeCare and over $80,000 WWTA scholarships for area youth through this annual fundraiser.

The Charity Classic Tournament is an annual ladies doubles event, but this is a not just for ladies morning doubles any more.  Since this event is held in conjunction with the Cary Tennis Classic, this means you may be playing on some of the same courts that professional players have been on. Join us for a morning of fun tennis, all while raising money for Transitions LifeCare.

Our 2026 Charity Classic will be held on July 2nd with play staring at 8:00 or 8:30 (TBD), continuous play of 3 sets in your group.  Space is very limited and we sell out every year! Cost is $150 per team and includes round robin tennis, goody bag, snacks, lunch and a ticket to Cary Tennis Classic  for you and for your partner on the day of the Charity Classic and also one day Monday to Wednesday (your choice!)  This year we will offer ladies doubles, 4 teams each level for 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, & 4.5 and four teams each of MIXED of levels of 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0.  Note:  if a group of 4 men’s teams of a the same level or 4 mixed 4.5 teams reach out to use, we will add those flights.   Lunch will be a take and go to the courts to watch the pro tennis that might start as early as 10:00am!
