Community Spotlight on Sportsmanship – Bonnie Delmar!

We are continuing with spotlighting sportsmanship.  Over many years, this player’s name comes up often as one of the kindest, fairest, even people to play with or against.  It doesn’t matter if she is winning or losing, if she likes your “out” call or not, she always shows good sportsmanship.  Players walk onto the court knowing that they will have a good, fun, and competitive match – which is what the game is about.  Here is one of the quotes we received “When I play at Prestonwood and see that Bonnie is my opponent, I know to expect great angle shots, a fair match and a few laughs and many smiles.  Matches like this are why I play USTA tennis and hope that I model those qualities in my matches.  Bonnie embodies true sportsmanship and respect for all people on the court.  She is truly happy to be playing tennis.”  It seems that this is how we would all want to be thought of most of the time, if not all of the time.  Bonnie Delmar, we appreciate you and the energy and attitude you bring to the court.  So for July, Bonnie, you are our Community Spotlight!
