Rhonda Blanchard served as the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Middle Creek High School from 2009 until her untimely passing in February 2015. She was a great supporter of the game of tennis and loved her school and players. She was also a teacher and advocate for special needs students at Middle Creek. This tournament will honor her memory and raise funds for the Abilities Tennis Association of NC whose mission is to provide and support tennis opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities across the state of North Carolina.

FORMAT
Shootout using 8-person Compass Draw, Best 2 out of 3 sets with match tiebreaker for 3rd set and No-Ad Scoring.
FEE
$30 per player (There is NO RAIN DATE. This is a charity event; therefore, no refunds are possible).
DIVISIONS
Boys & Girls Singles (12-16): 78’ Green Ball 12, 78’ Yellow Ball 14-16. Draws limited to 8 entrants. Only 1 Division per player.
LUNCH
A complimentary lunch will be provided for the players at the Kildaire Farms tournament site. In addition, a Unified Doubles exhibition will take place during the lunch hour. Unified Doubles means an Abilities athlete will team up with a high school player!
